Mepilex Ag is a sterile, antimicrobial foam dressing with Safetac® technology, designed for the treatment of wounds at risk of or already infected. The dressing combines the skin-friendly properties of an atraumatic foam dressing with the germ-reducing effect of silver ions. It minimizes pain and skin trauma during dressing changes, adheres gently to the skin surrounding the wound, and effectively reduces the microbial load. The rapid action of the silver begins within 30 minutes and lasts for up to seven days – even against multi-resistant pathogens such as MRSA.
