The adult intraosseous training leg is a specially designed model for training in intraosseous access. It allows for practicing the complete IO infusion procedure under realistic conditions and is particularly suitable for training and continuing education in emergency medicine and emergency medical services.
The anatomically accurate lower leg model allows for the administration of intraosseous infusions at a realistic bone. Bone and skin components are interchangeable, ensuring the model remains functional even after numerous training sessions. This enables learners to repeatedly practice and confidently apply the technique of intraosseous access.
The model is designed for learning access and infusion techniques. Fluid aspiration is not intended, as the focus is on the correct placement and execution of the intraosseous access.
The training leg supports the practice of intraosseous access on the adult lower leg, has interchangeable bone and skin elements for long-term use, is anatomically realistic and optimized for the training of rescue workers and medical professionals.
Its size is comparable to an adult's lower leg. It weighs approximately 2 kg.
