This moulage depicts the sacral region with a surgically debrided pressure ulcer . The necrotic tissue has been removed, and wound pockets are present, demonstrating the typical appearance of such a wound after surgical debridement. The moulage can be supplied freshly debrided or with wound exudate to provide a realistic representation of the healing processes and wound care. It is particularly suitable for explaining and practicing vacuum therapy , as it depicts the typical structure and complexity of a surgically treated pressure ulcer.
The anal fold is also present and serves to realistically depict the typical challenges of applying bandages in this area. This moulage is positioned in a specific position, but can also be removed from this position to enable further training and practice scenarios.
