
The Erler-Zimmer Hand Model with Tendons, Nerves, and Carpal Tunnel demonstrates the complex anatomy of the hand, including the forearm attachment, in life-size. It is a movable hand skeleton made of individual bones, mounted on a wire and additionally equipped with important soft tissue structures. Depicted are, among other things, the tendons of the flexor digitorum superficialis and flexor pollicis longus muscles , the common tendon sheath ( vagina communis tendinum musculorum flexorum ), the transverse carpal ligament , and the median nerve . The model is ideal for illustrating carpal tunnel syndrome, for teaching, patient education, and treatment planning.
