This detailed hip joint model is based on a natural cast of a human hip joint and realistically depicts the most important anatomical structures. The femoral stump is anchored in the joint and held in place by a fully reproduced ligament system . These include the iliofemoral ligament , ischiofemoral ligament , and pubofemoral ligament , which are made of elastic material.
The model allows a clear demonstration of the typical movements in the hip joint , such as flexion, extension (retroversion), abduction, adduction and, to a limited extent , internal and external rotation .
Thanks to the removable tripod, the model is ideal for use in teaching, practice or patient consultations.
