The "Florence" catheterization simulator is a professional training model for realistic instruction in transurethral bladder catheterization in female patients . Developed for nursing and medical education, the model impresses with high-quality materials that closely resemble human anatomy in feel and appearance, while also being robust and durable – ideal for regular use in teaching, skills labs, or exam preparation.
The female genitalia are designed so that the urethral opening is not immediately visible. Only by spreading the flexible labia can it be carefully located and prepared for catheterization – just like in a real patient. The urethra offers realistic resistance during catheter insertion . The integrated transparent bladder is connected to a fluid bag – fluid will leak out if the procedure is performed correctly. A special valve system prevents any noticeable resistance in the bladder, so the insertion depth cannot be felt – a significant quality advantage over traditional models.
