Uricult Plus culture medium from AIDIAN is an innovative culture medium carrier specifically designed for the semi-quantitative determination of pathogenic bacteria in urine. The carrier contains three different agar media: CLED agar, MacConkey agar, and enterococcal agar, enabling the identification and quantification of a wide range of urinary tract infections (UTIs). CLED agar promotes the growth of urinary bacteria and prevents crystal formation, while MacConkey agar is used for the identification of gram-negative bacteria and enterococcal agar for the detection of enterococci. This system is particularly useful in the diagnosis of UTIs and for monitoring the bacterial load in urine.
