Kodan Tincture Forte Colorless is a ready-to-use skin antiseptic for application to intact skin prior to invasive procedures. The preparation is colorless and intended for professional use in medical settings.
Areas of application
This product is used for the antiseptic preparation of the skin before injections, punctures, blood draws, cannulations, catheterizations, as well as before surgical and diagnostic procedures. It can also be used as part of general skin antisepsis hygiene measures.
Product features
Kodan Tincture Forte Colorless is an alcoholic solution for external use on intact skin. The preparation has a rapid onset of action and is designed for a short-term antimicrobial effect. The colorless formulation allows for application to visible areas of skin. The product is VAH and DGHM listed for skin antisepsis and hygienic hand disinfection. It is effective against a broad spectrum of microorganisms, including bacteria (including MRSA and mycobacteria), fungi, and enveloped viruses such as HIV, HBV, HCV, and HSV. The solution is ready to use and does not need to be diluted.

The product is applied undiluted to unbroken skin. The entire skin area is thoroughly wetted, either by spraying or by applying with a soaked swab. Excess liquid should be removed to prevent pooling. The prescribed application times must be observed. This product is intended exclusively for use by medical professionals and does not replace medical treatment.
