UrgoSorb is a sterile, highly absorbent wound dressing made from an innovative combination of calcium alginate and hydrocolloid particles. This dressing is specifically designed for the local management of moderately to heavily exuding wounds during the cleansing phase. UrgoSorb is particularly effective for post-surgical wounds (such as amputation or abscess wounds) as well as chronic wounds, such as leg ulcers or pressure sores. UrgoSorb promotes primary hemostasis of traumatic and chronic wounds and contributes to wound healing by controlling moisture and stabilizing the surrounding tissue.
