The skeleton "Willi" is an anatomical teaching model for the study of human anatomy. It is based on a natural cast of a human skeleton and accurately depicts all relevant anatomical structures, including fissures, foramina, and processes.
The skull is made of three parts: the skull base, the mandible, and the skullcap. It has been digitized and idealized to conform to standard anatomical teachings. The skullcap is connected via a magnetic fixation with metal pins, allowing for a stable and precise fit without any obtrusive locking clips.
The arms and legs are detachable; one leg can be disassembled at the knee, and the foot can be removed separately. The shoulder, hip, and ankle joints are designed as gliding joints, allowing for both rotational and gliding movements. The shoulder blades are mounted to move with the arms, enabling the demonstration of natural movement patterns. The upper ankle joint is flexibly mounted, allowing free movement of the foot.
The model is made of durable plastic. Hands and feet are flexibly mounted on wire. The skeleton is supplied on a 5-star safety wheeled stand, which ensures stability and easy transport between classrooms or training rooms.
