The SediSafe erythrocyte sedimentation system is an innovative disposable system for determining the erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) according to Westergren . With its automatic zero point adjustment and optional prefilled cap with 0.2 ml of sodium citrate, it simplifies the workflow and increases safety during blood collection.
Thanks to the special closure , blood leakage is reliably prevented , and the low blood requirement of only 0.8 ml makes the system particularly suitable for pediatric use . It is made of neutrally combustible disposable material , eliminating the need for cleaning and the risk of cross-contamination.
The system is compatible with the Sedimat device and is also suitable for use with Dispetten stands .

Instructions for use

Pour the blood-citrate mixture (0.8 ml blood + 0.2 ml citrate) into the filling cap up to the crimped edge and mix well (swirl 5-6 times).

For prefilled cap with sodium citrate: put on the pink stopper, add blood and mix gently.

Push the pipette all the way to the bottom of the cap or, in the case of pre-filled caps, pierce it directly – there is no need to remove the cap.

The zero point is automatically set via the safety lock.
Note : The pipette must reach the bottom of the fill cap to ensure correct measurement.
