The 22 cm surgical wound is a realistic wound replica made of skin-compatible material that adheres independently to the skin of a simulated patient, a manikin, or to the included base. This wound is ideal for simulating a postoperative wound after various procedures such as knee replacement surgery or a cesarean section . The soft material adapts flexibly to the body and can also be easily adhered over joints , making it ideal for simulating wounds on mobile body parts.
The wound is available in two versions: with and without sutures , to represent different types of surgery. If the adhesive strength of the moulage decreases, it can be reactivated by simply wiping the back with medical alcohol . For longer-term attachment during a course or training, we recommend using suitable skin adhesive .
