The Mepilex Border Sacrum by Mölnlycke is an anatomically shaped, five-layer foam dressing for the treatment and prevention of wounds in the sacral area. Its special shape optimally adapts to the body contour and ensures a secure fit even during movement. The dressing is designed for exuding wounds and supports controlled exudate management in various care settings.
The multi-layered design includes a Safetac silicone contact layer for atraumatic dressing changes, a highly absorbent foam pad for effective exudate uptake, and a breathable, water-repellent outer film to protect against external influences. This combination promotes a moist wound environment while reducing the risk of maceration and damage to the wound periphery.
The dressing is suitable for treating pressure ulcers in the sacral area, diabetic foot ulcers, traumatic skin lesions, and postoperative wounds with a risk of exudate. Furthermore, it is clinically proven for pressure ulcer prevention in immobile or at-risk patients. Mepilex Border Sacrum is used in hospitals, care facilities, and home care.
