The Medi-Flow anti-decubitus system with ventilated alternating pressure layer was specially developed for the treatment of stage II pressure ulcers (according to Seiler). This alternating pressure mattress with large, replaceable air chambers offers additional comfort through continuous air circulation. Eight of the 18 chambers are equipped with micro-openings through which air continuously escapes to optimize the bed climate and promote skin respiration. The system ensures excellent ventilation and maximum sleeping comfort, particularly in the sacral region , between the shoulders and hips .
The mattress topper can be supplied with a stretchable, blue, waterproof cover made of breathable nylon . This cover is removable and washable up to 60°C , ensuring easy and hygienic cleaning. The pressure of the system, which automatically inflates and deflates the air chambers as needed, can be continuously adjusted to the patient's body weight.
