The IV injection pad, which comes in a set of 5 straps, offers an effective and practical solution for training intravenous punctures and blood draws . The pads can be easily clipped onto the forearm of a training subject or manikin and are ready for immediate use.
Each pad contains a realistically tactile venous system that can be filled with artificial blood via a tubing system . This creates authentic blood flow after a successful puncture , as expected in everyday clinical practice. The pads are inexpensive and designed as disposable products , but are also suitable for multiple training sessions depending on the application.
