This cardiac simulator serves as a practical training system for medical education, enabling the targeted learning and refinement of cardiac auscultation. It was developed specifically for students and physicians who rarely encounter specific or rare heart murmurs in their clinical practice. The model simulates both normal heart sounds and a variety of pathological murmurs, thus supporting realistic and structured diagnostic training.
A total of 20 different heart sounds can be auscultated using a stethoscope at four classic auscultation points of the aortic, pulmonary, tricuspid, and mitral valves. Additionally, ten different breath sounds are available at three defined positions, allowing for practical training in differentiating between cardiac and pulmonary findings. Heart rate and volume can be individually adjusted, enabling realistic simulation of various clinical scenarios. The soft-skinned torso provides an authentic tactile and auscultation experience, while the digital control unit with its English-language display allows for intuitive operation in training settings. The simulator is suitable for medical studies, clinical continuing education, emergency training, and structured patient education.
