Gigazyme is an enzymatic cleaner specifically designed for the manual reprocessing of medical devices , such as flexible endoscopes and surgical instruments . With its superior cleaning power, achieved through a combination of three enzymes , Gigazyme provides excellent cleaning for both heat-stable and heat-labile medical devices . Its unique formulation ensures outstanding material compatibility thanks to its neutral pH , and the use of non-ionic surfactants minimizes foaming , simplifying application.
Areas of application:
-
Flexible endoscopes: Perfect for the gentle cleaning of endoscopes that can be sensitive to aggressive chemicals.
-
Surgical instruments: Ideal for cleaning surgical instruments after use.
-
Thermostable and thermolabile medical devices: Suitable for a wide variety of medical devices, both heat-resistant and heat-sensitive.
-
Innovative enzyme-surfactant combination: Enzymes such as protease (breaks down proteins), lipase (dissolves fatty soils) and amylase (removes polysaccharides) work together to ensure thorough cleaning.
Advantages at a glance:
-
First-class cleaning power: Thanks to the three enzymes (protease, lipase, amylase), thorough cleaning is achieved.
-
Excellent material compatibility: The neutral pH value protects the materials of the instruments and ensures their longevity.
-
Low foaming: The use of non-ionic surfactants minimizes foaming and makes handling easier.
-
Versatile application: Can be used in immersion baths or ultrasonic baths , allowing for flexible application.
-
Simple dosage: gigazyme is simply diluted with water depending on the degree of contamination and the type of treatment.
Instructions for use:
-
Dosage: Gigazyme is a concentrate and must be diluted with water to the desired application concentration. The water temperature should remain below 45 °C to avoid protein denaturation .
-
For normal soiling: 0.5 - 2% (1 liter of a 1% solution corresponds to 990 ml of water and 10 ml of gigazyme).
-
In cases of heavy soiling: Up to 5%.
-
-
The working solution should be renewed regularly – at least daily or immediately if visible contamination occurs.
-
Ensure that the instruments are completely wetted with the solution, especially hollow instruments .
-
After cleaning, the instruments must be thoroughly rinsed with water of at least drinking water quality to remove any residue of the solution.
Stand time:
-
The cleaning solution should be renewed at least daily or when visibly soiled to ensure optimal cleaning.
