This anatomically accurate pelvic model, complete with a fully developed newborn and placenta, allows for realistic practice of various obstetric situations, including emergency delivery. It serves as a structured training tool for midwives, physicians, and other obstetric staff, supporting the safe learning of obstetric procedures and techniques. The kit includes disposable umbilical cords with clips, an interchangeable vulva, and powder to simulate blood and create realistic birthing conditions.
The modular pregnancy insert with integrated fetus allows for determining the fetal position using the Leopold maneuvers. A transparent cover provides a direct view of the baby's position and facilitates understanding of the fetal position in the pelvis. The model precisely depicts relevant anatomical landmarks, including the spine, angled birth canal, ilium, ischium, sacrum, sacrospinal ligament, and greater ischial notch.
The fetus corresponds in size and proportions to a full-term newborn and features realistically depicted fontanelles and cranial sutures. These features support the vivid illustration of the birth process and allow for the practice of obstetric examination techniques.
The pelvic model is suitable for medical training in obstetrics, particularly for midwives and obstetricians, as well as for training in emergency obstetrics. In simulation centers, it can be used for practical birthing exercises and complex emergency scenarios. It offers a realistic, modular, and versatile training platform for imparting obstetric skills under near-practical conditions.
