Erler-Zimmer Training phantom for ultrasound examination of deep tissue damage

This unique simulation phantom allows for training in ultrasound-guided tissue examination to detect deep tissue damage. The phantom features two replaceable pads in areas where pressure ulcers are most common. One pad is located in the sacral region and one in the greater trochanter area.
The Phantom has 5 different pads per region:
- Healthy tissue – no defect
- Mild pressure ulcer – edema and hypoechogenic area
- Moderate pressure ulcer – edema and abscess
- Severe pressure ulcer – edema and abscess with typical cobblestone structure
- Pressure ulcer with pocket formation – tissue wound and pocket formation
Visible features such as loss of superficial fascia, demarcated areas of reduced brightness, and the location and depth of abnormal findings make it possible to diagnose mild Stage I/II pressure ulcers. Of course, the model can also be used for the visual classification of pressure ulcers. Standard classification and treatment techniques can be practiced, and the inserts can be used to teach the various stages.
Delivered in a storage case.
