The flexible miniature spine (didactic) is a compact yet highly detailed teaching model specifically designed for medical training and patient education . Despite its reduced size, the model contains all the essential anatomical features of the human spine and is ideal for mobile use in classrooms, medical practices, or seminar rooms .
The color-coding of the five spinal segments – 7 cervical vertebrae, 12 thoracic vertebrae, 5 lumbar vertebrae, sacrum, and coccyx – significantly facilitates the identification and explanation of anatomical structures. Important clinically relevant details are also included: a herniated disc at the L3–L4 level , spinal nerve exit points , and a simulation of the course of the vertebral artery in the neck.
For better functional representation, the model has a male pelvis with movable femoral heads , which illustrates the connection to the lower extremities.
