This anatomically correct pelvic model is specifically used in emergency obstetric training . It allows for hands-on practice of all relevant techniques and procedures in emergency obstetrics , including vacuum extraction and forceps delivery . The model contains a normal newborn and a premature infant , making it ideal for simulating various birth situations. The model's plastic lower body provides the resistance required for practicing a vacuum extraction or forceps delivery .
The model comes with a removable abdominal wall , artificial blood powder , a replacement vulva , and a carrying case . Forceps and suction cup are not included, but are available separately for complete simulation.
