This life-size, flexible placenta model offers a highly realistic and detailed representation of the maternal and fetal structures of the human placenta . Made of flexible material with natural coloring , it is ideal for medical education , midwifery and nursing training , as well as for obstetric education or prenatal counseling .
The cotyledons (placental lobes) are visible on the maternal surface , while the amniotic and chorionic membranes are visible on the fetal side . The umbilical cord shows the umbilical vessels transparently .
A section through the placenta allows the deeper structures to be viewed:
