The EZ Huber Safety Port Needle is a sophisticated safety cannula specifically designed for the puncture of implanted port catheters. It features an innovative safety mechanism that minimizes the risk of needlestick injuries and protects the user from infection. The safety mechanism is automatically activated when the cannula is withdrawn, and an audible click indicates that the cannula is securely locked in the housing. The EZ Huber meets the strict requirements of TRBA 250 for safety products.
A unique, patented protective sheath encloses the cannula during withdrawal from the port, protecting it from contact with body fluids and pathogens, effectively preventing cross-contamination. The cannula is made of biocompatible material that is DEHP- and latex-free, allowing the infusion of even aggressive medications without material damage.
