The optional Pressure Ulcer Foot is a practical add-on for the GERi™ and KERi™ nursing manikins and was specifically designed to provide realistic instruction on pressure ulcer wound management . The module demonstrates the four stages of pressure ulcers with varying tissue depths and degrees of hardness, providing an excellent opportunity to teach nursing students visual and tactile assessment, as well as proper wound cleansing and care.
The foot can be easily attached to the nursing manikin of the GERi™/KERi™ series without the need for tools and supports standardized training content in the area of wound care and pressure ulcer prevention .
