This simulator serves as a practical training tool for teaching key nursing and medical techniques in the field of respiratory and tracheostomy care. It enables realistic training in various suction techniques, the correct inflation of cuffs, proper dressing changes, and other nursing procedures. The anatomically detailed design includes the mouth and nasal passages, pharynx, epiglottis, trachea, esophagus, an external tracheostomy site, and the cricoid cartilage, thus fully representing the relevant structures for a realistic simulation.
The mouth and jaw are movable, allowing for realistic oral suctioning exercises. The trachea branches into left and right bronchial trees, enabling practice of suctioning airways in different areas. The care, cleaning, and management of the external tracheostomy site can also be practiced as with a real patient. The simulator is suitable for nursing education, medical training, emergency and intensive care training, and structured patient education. A supplied tracheostomy tube, user manual, and sturdy hard case ensure immediate use, safe storage, and easy transport.
