Cosmopor® Silicone from Hartmann is a sterile, adhesive wound dressing for the external coverage of acute and postoperative wounds. It is intended for the treatment of surgical incisions, cuts and abrasions, as well as for the protection of sutures.
The perforated silicone adhesive layer allows for gentle fixation to the skin and facilitates atraumatic dressing changes. The wound pad does not adhere to the wound, thus reducing the risk of tissue trauma during removal. The integrated viscose wound pad with superabsorbent fibers has a high exudate absorption capacity and binds fluid within the dressing.
The breathable backing material helps regulate moisture exchange, while the water-repellent outer layer offers additional protection against external elements. Thanks to its flexibility, the bandage adapts to different body contours and is also suitable for sensitive skin.
Cosmopor® Silicone is individually packaged in sterile packaging and is available in various sizes, depending on the application.
