The BLAST Bandage is a tactical, multifunctional, large-area bandage solution specifically developed for rapid deployment in severe trauma cases such as amputations, shrapnel injuries, burns, and extensive soft tissue injuries. Despite its compact size when packed (approx. 10 cm wide), it unfolds to a format of approximately 50 × 50 cm , thus covering almost entire body areas such as the chest, back, or abdomen .
The bandage features a non-adherent wound dressing and a removable occlusive layer (47.5 × 47.5 cm) that can be used specifically for abdominal injuries to minimize heat and fluid loss . The elastic wrap allows for effective and rapid fixation – even under difficult conditions.
