This full-body manikin forms the basis for a comprehensive simulation model of obstetrics and offers a variety of medical training options . The basic manikin has fundamental functions such as airway management , oxygen administration , nasogastric tube , IV access on both elbows and back of the hand , as well as the option to place a urinary catheter . It also offers IM and subcutaneous injections , a normal breast for examination , and a puncture site to simulate an epidural catheter . The basic manikin can be flexibly combined with various expansion modules that cover additional specialized training areas such as prenatal examinations , ultrasound examinations , cervical examinations , obstetrics , perineal tear treatment and postnatal examinations .
