The Askina Pad S B. Braun is a ready-to-use slit compress with perforations , specially developed for wound care of catheters , wire, and nail extensions . Thanks to its high absorbency and non-adherent surface, the pad offers optimal protection and excellent cushioning without sticking to the wound or wound edge. This ensures minimal pain and promotes effective healing .
It is ideal for the care of catheter entry sites and for the treatment of wire and nail extensions . The hydrophobic polyester backing material and the absorbent layer of 70% viscose and 30% polyester ensure reliable moisture absorption and an optimal wound environment. The wound dressing mesh is made of polyethylene , which guarantees secure hold while providing a gentle contact surface.
