Erler-Zimmer's "Dekubitus Dan" is a realistic, life-size simulator for training nurses in the wound care of pressure ulcers (decubitus ulcers). The model depicts various stages of pressure ulcers – from stage 1 to stage 4 – and also shows a deep tissue injury, unclassifiable necrosis, and a gaping wound (dehiscence) approximately 12 cm in size. Made of soft plastic, the model is ideal for practical exercises in dressing, vacuum therapy, and other nursing procedures.
