The simulated burns were specially designed to enable instructors and medical professionals to simulate burn wounds and assess and care for burn patients. The set contains four different severities of burns: 1st degree, 2nd degree (superficial), 2nd degree (deep), and 3rd degree. These burns are flexible and can be easily cut into any shape to fit any area of a live patient or simulator. The set is ideal for applying scales to determine the severity and type of burn and to create an appropriate treatment plan. The burns are reusable and come ready to use. For even more realistic simulations, theatrical makeup and fake blood can be used to enhance the wounds and create an even more authentic appearance.
