The ScalpelCric® Set is a specially developed surgical cricothyrotomy set based on the proven scalpel technique . It was designed according to the current recommendations of the DAS (Difficult Airway Society) Guidelines 2015 for emergency access in cases of airway failure. In so-called CICO ( Cannot Intubate – Cannot Oxygenate ) situations, the set enables the rapid and structured performance of an eFONA (emergency front of neck access) .
The set follows the standardized procedure " stab incision – rotation – bougie – tube " and contains all the necessary components. These are arranged in the order of application in a sterile instrument bag , saving valuable time in critical moments. The robust and compact packaging is ideal for emergency backpacks, trolleys, and bags in both pre-hospital and clinical settings.
