The original Aircast ankle brace is specially designed to stabilize and support the function of the ankle joint . It features anatomically shaped side shells that fit easily into any lace-up shoe . The pre-filled, adjustable air cells on the inside of the brace adapt to the individual contours of the body , providing superior comfort and customized support. These air cushions compress any swollen tissue , promoting healing and reducing swelling.
When worn with a laced shoe, the Aircast brace provides lateral stabilization of the ankle joint, minimizing the risk of inward or outward tilting . The brace also allows for a natural flexion while walking , thus barely restricting movement. This ankle brace is available by prescription and comes in four different styles , each individually packaged .
