This midwifery module allows the manikin to assume various birthing positions , including supine , lateral, and quadrupedal positions . Essential birthing maneuvers and techniques can be practiced with this model. It offers the opportunity to practice perineal protection , simulate cephalic and breech births, and perform forceps or vacuum extraction . Clamping , tying , and cutting the umbilical cord can also be practiced. The model also offers the opportunity to simulate placental delivery , amniotic sac examination , and urinary catheter insertion, supporting training in practical midwifery techniques and emergency treatment .
