Mepilex® Ag is a sterile, antimicrobial foam dressing with Safetac® technology, developed for the treatment of wounds at risk of infection or already infected. The dressing combines the skin-friendly properties of an atraumatic foam dressing with the germ-reducing effect of silver ions. It minimizes pain and skin trauma during dressing changes, gently adheres to the periwound skin, and effectively reduces the wound's microbial load. The rapid action of the silver begins within 30 minutes and lasts for up to seven days – even against multi-resistant pathogens such as MRSA.
