Covidien's KERLIX™ AMD dressings are advanced antimicrobial wound dressings specifically formulated for infection prevention and control in acute and chronic wounds. They contain PHMB (polyhexamethylene biguanide) , a powerful antimicrobial substance that renders the dressing resistant to bacterial contamination , effectively inhibiting the penetration and spread of microorganisms within the dressing material.
Thanks to their broad spectrum of efficacy, KERLIX AMD dressings protect against Gram-positive, Gram-negative, fungal, and yeast pathogens , including MRSA and VRE .
