The lifelike hand skeleton from Erler-Zimmer is an anatomical teaching model for illustrating the bony structures of the human hand. The model is based on a cast of a real human hand skeleton and is designed for use in training, teaching, and clear demonstrations.
All bones of the hand are individually depicted and mounted on wire. This construction allows for a movable arrangement of the individual bones relative to one another and permits the representation of typical hand positions as well as the spatial relationship between the carpal, metacarpal, and phalangeal bones. The flexible mounting serves to illustrate the anatomical structure and mobility of the hand.
This model is suitable for use in medical and anatomical education, as well as in training contexts for physiotherapy, occupational therapy, orthopedics, and osteopathy. It serves solely to illustrate anatomical structures and does not fulfill any diagnostic, therapeutic, or clinical function.
Due to its compact design, the hand skeleton can be used for demonstrations in classrooms, training rooms, or as part of presentations. Use outside of its intended teaching and demonstration purpose is not permitted.
