This versatile nursing manikin was specifically developed for realistic training in suction techniques and enteral nutrition . It allows for practice in the use of suction catheters in the nose, mouth, and throat , the care of a tracheostomy opening , as well as the insertion of a nasogastric tube and the care of a PEG tube – all of which are used daily in clinical and home care.
An integrated internal fluid reservoir allows for practice with real fluid. The position of the nasogastric tube can be realistically controlled by aspirating fluid or auscultating air bubbles . The model is fully disassembled , facilitating hygienic maintenance and reusability.
