This sophisticated training model was specifically designed for training with ultrathin bronchoscopes and practicing transbronchial needle aspiration (TBNA) . It combines realistic bronchial anatomy with the simulation of embedded lymph nodes that are visible on ultrasound and can be punctured—ideal for diagnosing mediastinal and hilar lymph node metastases.
The bronchial tree extends into the fifth generation of bronchi and is made of a flexible, tissue-like plastic that provides a lifelike tactile and insertion sensation. In addition, the integrated head model allows for correct localization and navigation through the trachea and esophagus. After training, the bronchial tree can be easily removed from the case and rinsed – for easy cleaning and reuse.
