The model accurately depicts anatomical landmarks such as the spine , angled birth canal , ilium , ischium , sacrum , sacrospinal ligament , and the greater ischial notch . The fetus is the size of a real newborn and features fontanelles and cranial sutures to further enhance the realistic depiction of birth.
