This comprehensive set of essential birth models allows you to vividly demonstrate and teach the birth process. The 48 cm fetus model represents an average-sized, full-term baby. The model's articulated body can simulate all presentations and positions and features palpable anterior and posterior fontanelles. The fabric perineum model (13 x 16.5 cm) is ideal for demonstrating perineal stretching, performing an episiotomy, and head emergence during labor. The flexible pelvis model is designed to be manipulated in all directions to show how the pelvis moves to facilitate birth. The perineum model is attached to the flexibly mounted pelvis using elastic bands and allows for the demonstration of the birth process. The placenta/umbilical cord/amnion/chorion model provides a realistic representation of the amniotic sac and allows the fetus model to appear within a simulated amniotic sac. The umbilical cord clearly shows veins and arteries and can be closed with a simple drawstring. The amnion and chorion are color-coded to indicate the different membranes. The placenta measures 18 x 20 cm and shows the physiological details of the fetus's nutrient supply.
