This innovative human ear examination simulator allows students and clinicians to learn and practice the essential skills required for ear examination. The model offers the opportunity to diagnose common ear diseases, clean the ear canal, remove foreign bodies, and perform a tympanic membrane incision with the insertion of a tube. The anatomically correct simulator includes both right and left ears, which can be used for diagnosis and examination methodology. The ears are easily removable for easy cleaning and storage.
To make training even more realistic, the middle ear can be filled with various fluids, allowing the instructor to individually determine the color and consistency of the fluid. This supports the realistic simulation of middle ear diseases. Nine diagnostic inserts with high-resolution color prints cover a wide range of conditions, such as middle ear infections and eardrum perforations. The simulator is thus a comprehensive training tool for otoscopy and ear surgery.
