The ENFit enteral safety syringes with a female Luer-Lock connector were specially developed for enteral nutrition . They cannot be connected to parenteral systems , reducing the risk of confusion. The optimized inner diameter ensures an efficient flow rate , even with fatty or viscous solutions . The globally standardized violet/purple color coding clearly indicates enteral use. Furthermore, the syringes are compatible with all common perfusion pumps (from 5 ml in BD mode).
