This soft abdominal replica is an essential tool for teaching patients the correct injection technique and rotation of the injection site , avoiding the 5 cm area around the navel . It allows for practicing self-injection with a variety of syringe types , including pen-type syringes , and provides a realistic simulation for self-medication .
The model's lifelike skin feels like real abdominal tissue underneath, making training particularly authentic and practical . The soft plastic backing prevents punctures, and holes allow for air circulation and drying if you want to inject fluid. Distilled water is recommended, but please note that the more fluid used, the longer the model will take to dry . Insulin should not be used, as it could corrode the model's plastic.
The abdominal injection model is designed as a consumable item . However, with proper care and regular maintenance, it can be used for extended periods. Using the smallest possible needle and alternating injection sites will significantly extend the model's lifespan.
