Cuticerin from Smith & Nephew is a sterile, Eucerin-containing wound dressing made of ointment-coated artificial silk gauze. It is ideal for treating large, exuding wounds and, thanks to its special coating, prevents it from sticking to the wound surface. The air- and exudate-permeable structure ensures an ideal wound environment, while the defined mesh size allows for the drainage of exudate. Cuticerin enables virtually painless dressing changes and is particularly gentle on the skin.
Areas of application:
Extensive, exuding wounds such as abrasions, lacerations, leg ulcers, pressure sores, skin grafts, postoperative wounds, burns and split-thickness skin graft donor sites.
Advantages at a glance:
-
It does not stick to the wound.
-
Painless dressing change
-
Permeable to air and secretions
-
Defined mesh structure for controlled exudate drainage
-
Skin-friendly and flexible
-
Sterile and ready to use
Further information:
Cuticerin can be used as a primary dressing in combination with an absorbent secondary dressing. The defined mesh size controls exudate drainage while simultaneously protecting the wound from mechanical irritation. The Eucerin-based ointment coating also promotes a moist, healing wound environment.
