Wound exudate is rapidly absorbed, effectively transported vertically away from the wound , and safely stored within the foam – without leakage or rewetting. Biatain foam dressings are available in both non-adherent and soft adhesive versions (e.g., silicone adhesive). Dressing changes are atraumatic and painless. Depending on the wound exudate, the dressing can remain in place for up to 7 days .
