The leg support splint, similar to the Volkmann, Schweizer, or Kehl splint, is a specially shaped positioning aid for stable immobilization of the extended leg. The improved, open model is made of gray, dimensionally stable foam and offers an anatomically adapted support for the thigh, lower leg, and heel. It provides reliable support, fixation, and protection of the leg after surgery, inflammation, or fractures. The softly padded footbed also effectively prevents the formation of equinus – a common risk with prolonged immobilization.
