ConvaTec 's Aquacel® Foam Dressing is a sterile, advanced wound dressing that combines the benefits of Hydrofiber® technology with the comfort of an absorbent foam dressing . It consists of a waterproof polyurethane film outer layer , a multi-layer polyurethane foam wound pad , and a non-woven Hydrofiber® (sodium carboxymethylcellulose) wound contact layer .
Aquacel® Foam is available in both adhesive (with silicone adhesive edge) and non-adhesive versions and is ideal for the treatment of moderately to heavily exuding wounds where secure adhesion, gentle application and optimal moisture management are required.

Further information:
The Hydrofiber layer absorbs exudate, gels, and adapts perfectly to the wound surface. At the same time, it keeps the wound moist and protects the wound area from maceration. The silicone adhesive ensures a secure fit without skin irritation.
