This anatomical model depicts a human lumbar vertebra at two times magnification, allowing for a direct comparison between healthy and osteoporotic bone structure. The vertebra is sectioned medially, enabling a parallel view of both structures.
One half of the model shows the compact, stable bone architecture of a healthy vertebra, while the other half depicts the characteristic structural changes in osteoporosis. The high magnification clearly reveals differences in bone density and the structure of the cancellous bone.
The model is magnetically assembled and can be removed from the stand. It is suitable for training, teaching, and demonstration purposes, as well as for factual patient education and preventative counseling. The product is intended solely for informational and demonstration purposes and is not suitable for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
