The TROP T Sensitive Test is a qualitative in-vitro diagnostic rapid test for the detection of troponin in anticoagulated venous whole blood (EDTA or heparin). It serves as a supportive diagnostic tool in cases of clinical suspicion of myocardial damage and is used in time-critical care situations.
Troponin is a cardiac structural protein that is released into the bloodstream when heart muscle cells are damaged.
